Profile. On the 11th of August 2023 the men's peloton will encounter the time-trial World Championships, this year taking place in Glasgow, but in this discipline the event will be hosted in the city of Stirling.
With 48 kilometers in distance, this is somewhat of a return to the longer events which have frequently not been seen lately in the worlds. It is a mostly flat time-trial, however with several small rises throughout the circuit that will disrupt the pace of many. A long effort close to an hour, one for the specialists however with it's long flat straights.
It is a high-speed route however for almost the whole distance, with the exception of the finale, which will be placed atop the Stirling Castle. This will see the riders take on 800 meters at 6% to complete their effort, all in cobbled roads.
