The Uno-X Pro Cycling Team made it's Grand Tour debut earlier this year at the Tour de France and whilst they were unable to claim a stage win, they generally impressed with their performances and style.
It now seems, they have also impressed the right people as Christian Prudhomme reveals in a somewhat cryptic response to when asked about the possibility of the Norwegian-based team returning to the battle for Maillot Jaune. "No reason to worry," the 62-year-old Frenchman says with a wry smile.
In quotes collected by Eurosport.no, the Uno-X Pro Cycling Team has revealed he hasn't yet received confirmation of wildcard entry however. "No green lights," explains Jens Haugland. "We were only invited to the presentation on Wednesday."
"We believe that the possibilities of being invited are very great. We think we deserve it. Both based on the achievements in the Tour this year, but also based on the development and the sporting results we have. We believe we have done what can be expected of us," Haugland explains further in conversation with TV2. "We must be humble and clear that we do not take an invitation for granted, but we believe that we deserve it."
