Another strong lead-out from
Mathieu van der Poel saw Jasper Philipsen sprint to second stage victory in this year's
Tour de France. The Dutch rider dropped the Belgian sprinter off his wheel perfectly in less than 200 meters to go.
"I was looking for a gap," Van der Poel analyzed his lead-out for NOS cameras. "Surprisingly I found that gap when I heard that Jasper was back in my wheel. I still had a good sprint in my legs to take him off."
