A tough course awaited riders in today's
Brussels Cycling Classic.
Jordi Meeus definitely doesn't fancy punchy hills, but with good legs and pure determation, he was able to follow the winning move together with his teammate Jonas Koch and later managed to sprint to a solid third position in a group of twenty riders.
“I think Jonas did an incredible job today. He really gave it his all to keep our group in front. We both have been in that decisive move, and it was not sure until the last 10km if we can stay in front. I had quite good legs today but of course I suffered over the climbs. Still, I was confident for the sprint, but I came too late. I think the speed was there, I simply messed up the timing," said Meeus about the race.
