Jasper Stuyven's full spring calendar revealed - Belgian dreams of Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix victory

The full spring calendar for Trek-Segafredo's Jasper Stuyven has been revealed with the Belgian to begin on the 25th of February at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad.
From there Stuyven will move on to Kuurne-Bruxelles-Kuurne the following day, a race where he was victorious back in 2016. Le Samyn follows on the 28th of February before the 30-year-old travels to Italy to try and repeat his success from 2021 and triumph at Milano-Sanremo.
Stuyven will then return to his native homeland for a string of classics including the E3 Saxo Classic on March 24th, Gent-Wevelgem on March 26th, Dwars door Vlaanderen on the 29th of March and Ronde van Vlaanderen on April 2nd.
In the final adventure of his spring season Stuyven will take on his ninth attempt at being crowned Paris-Roubaix winner, his best previous result in the race coming in 2017 when he finished 4th. With such a busy few months laying ahead for Stuyven the Trek-Segafredo rider is keen to have as much success as possible.

- It's weird to say Evenepoel would be making a "serious mistake by adding the 2027 Giro d'Italia to his calendar, warning that such a decision could even be interpreted as a lack of confidence in his ability to win the Tour de France." It may well be a mistake but with so many commentators (of all sorts) continuously claiming almost everything Remco does as being a mistake, almost nobody should care what the pundits and the disparagers should say. His team may not want him to do the Giro, and that matters. But it's possibly or probably up to Remco to decide and it may not have to be decided on until a month or so ahead of the race. Yes , Remco is inconsistent much like the majority of the best riders but he's enjoying a period of not having been recently injured (or sick). Whatever he does he need not be concerned with critics who will second guess any perceived failure no matter what.
