French National Champion Valentin Madouas extends Groupama-FDJ deal until 2026

The current French national champion, Valentin Madouas has extended his current contract with the Groupama - FDJ team until 2026.
“The team is making progress in all kinds of areas and is also very ambitious. So am I, so we share the same values ​​and ambitions," said the 27-year-old, who finished 10th in the general classification at the Tour de France in 2022, on his extension with the team run by Marc Madiot. "I can win big races in this team. I am happy with my role within the team, as a leader but also as an important helper.”
Madouas made his World Tour debut with the French-based team all the way back in 2018 and has six career wins to date including at Paris-Bourges, the Tour du Doubs and two stages of the Tour of Luxembourg, with his most recent victory coming at the French National Championships in June.
The extension of Madouas will also come as a coup for the Groupama - FDJ team who will be losing Thibaut Pinot through retirement and their star sprinter, Arnaud Demare at the end of the year.
