Filippo Ganna started the
Deutschland Tour with victory. He was the fastest rider in the ITT stage and completed the race course in just 2 minutes and 56 seconds.
"We are back after the Tour. We did a nice race today,” said Ganna. He continues, “Now we have four really intense days. It’s not completely flat, and obviously, there’s a climb. We have a really good young team, and we hope to do really well and get a good result for the team.”
The race course was just 2.6 kilometers in length which turned out to be an advantage for Ganna“ I like my big engine just for the short races. We did a nice performance today. Without the TT bike, it felt a little bit strange, and it’s not normal. But we tried to do our best with the normal bike,” said Ganna.
He is optimistic for the future stages and believes in the capabilities of his teammates "For sure we have good climbers . Ben Tulett is also really good in the climbs. We will see what happens in the next days but for sure we are here to give a good show,” concluded Ganna.
