Martin would not have climbed a few places in the GC. every point counts in the relegation battle.

The stories of Tadej were from his local races against older kids, not the same as international level, but as Maria says, at that level a 2 year difference as a teen is enormous, if then you go further and compare a slow and quick developer you’re stretching the physical maturity difference to 3 maybe 4 years.

Didn't like to see Kopecky and Wiebes attacking after a big crash in the leading group. Poetic justice in the end. Ferrand-Prevot hit the deck in that same crash. And in Catalunya UAE also increased the pace at the front of the bunch when some of the favourites went down. No bad karma in this case though.

How about Martin being given Aranburu's time? Was this a flat stage? The 3k rule in this case did more harm than good.

Welten is 28 years old, Tadej 26 years old. The gap of 2 years is a lot among teen, obviously Welten was consistently more mature.

Chapeau to Pauline Ferrand-Prevot on a very nice victory. She is a deceivingly powerful rider, and it was impressive how she slowly pulled away like she did, pushing quite a big gear. It was an entertaining race to watch, and a pleasant surprise in the end.

Michael Jordan was cut from his high school baseketball team. but there are stories of Tadej racing and winning as a youth. this is a stupid article.
