Mathieu van der Poel made a young fan very happy at the start of Gent Wevelgem. On the opening stage he made the fan's wish come true.

'Mathieu photo pls' was the sign with which the young fan stood in the audience on the Grote Markt in Ypres. This was noticed by the presenter on duty, who even brought the boy on stage.
