🇳🇱 #CXWorldCup 💥🥇
With the Cyclocross World Championships taking place in Tábor this weekend, reigning World Champion Fem van Empel will be looking to defend her title against the likes of Puck Pieterse and Blanka Kata Vas. The Dutch rider will go into the race with a lot of confidence, having won the last two rounds of the UCI World Cup in Benidorm and Hoogerheide over the past two weekends.
In an interview with Wielerflits after her victory in Hoogerheide, Van Empel said on her preparation ahead of the World Championships that “I am quite relaxed and hope to get through the coming weeks that way. I'm feeling good. It is now important to stay healthy and then have a blast in Tábor”.
The course for the World Championships is clearly one that suits Van Empel, as she took the win at the UCI World Cup race in Tábor in 2022. With the number one on her back this weekend, all of the pressure will be on her to take the victory after what has been a very dominant season for the Team Visma | Lease a Bike rider.
