Giovanni Aleotti's courageous attack in the downhill of last mountain prize of Tour of Slovenia's stage 3 was rewarded with victory. First for the 25-year-old Italian since 2022. On top of the stage triumph, the BORA - hansgrohe rider will also start tomorrow's stage in the leader's jersey.

"The last few kilometres were really tough. This is a special victory for me, as I had to overcome several setbacks last year. Now I’m really happy to be back on the road to success. I want to take this opportunity to thank my teammates, who helped me a lot today. We really have a great spirit in the team. Now we will enjoy the victory, but tomorrow we will do our best to defend the leader's jersey," Aleotti shared in press release.
