Roger Kluge continues career at Continental level after failing to secure contract with Lotto Soudal

German rider Roger Kluge has signed a two-year contract with continental team Rad-net Osswald. He acted as a lead-out at Lotto Soudal in recent years but could not secure a contract extension from the team this time.

"I would have liked to stay at WorldTour level, but I am happy to ride here, even if it is mainly a training team," said Kluge. He continues, "With this team, there is traditionally a lot of focus on track cycling. My goal is to compete in the Olympics for the fifth time in 2024, and ideally, I would like to end my career there with a medal. Right now, I feel good enough to achieve that goal."

His most notable victory remains Cassano d'Adda stage at the 2016 Giro d'Italia. Rad-net Osswald is filled with young and potential riders, and his Six Days on track partner Theo Reinhardt is also a part of the squad. “I can't wait to start this new chapter of my career, together with younger riders. I think I can give them a lot of experience, and that will be an exciting task in some ways," concluded Kluge.
