The
Veneto Classic 2024, to be held on October 20th, promises to be a very demanding race that will close the European cycling calendar for another year. The official route includes a series of very complicated climbs that will likely make only the strongest classics specialists able to fight for victory.
Thus, the race will start in Soave and finish in Bassano del Grappa and a total of 195 kilometres. The first part until entering the circuit with the first of the two climbs to Rosina is practically flat. Then, up to 5 climbs to the Muro della Tisa before facing the last double climb to the Diesel Farm and Via Soarda before the final descent to the finish; La Tisa has only 330 meters, but pavé zones and gradients of up to 20%. The last climb is 15 km from the finish line;
Another key point of the route is the climb to Diesel Farm, a steady climb of more than 2 km with slopes of 8% and soft final zone before the climb to Via Soarda of also more than 2 km with an average gradient of around 7% and that will probably decide the race if no one manages to break before in the very hard Tisa.
