Having three brothers in a peloton is rare, three on a single team is almost unheard of but at the
Uno-X Pro Cycling Team this is the case with Sindre, Magnus and
Johannes Kulset.
"It's true that it's not that commonplace, 3 racing brothers. We like to ride together, especially for a Norwegian team," Magnus tells Sporza. "Uno-X is a team that is different from other teams. It's already a family in itself," Sindre adds.
19-year-old Johannes, a 14th-placed finisher overall at the Tour of the Alps impressed throughout the race against the likes of Tao Geoghegan Hart, Jack Haig and Geraint Thomas. Despite his young age he has big goals for the future. "My goal is to grow into a classification rider. My big dream is to win the Tour. Or to help a teammate to win the Tour," he says.
"I would prefer to win the Giro. Although I certainly need a few more years for that," 24-year-old Sindre adds before a smiling Magnus quips. "If the other two Grand Tours have already been taken, then I'll choose the Vuelta. It would be nice if we could each win one big round."
For the first time in the teams' history, Uno-X will be at the start line of the Tour de France later this year and least one of the Kulset brothers are expected to be there. "We have a few guys who definitely have a chance to win a stage and who knows, a top 10 in the general classification could also be in the cards," says a confident Magnus. "So the commentators had better start practicing on all our names now, because it's often not that simple."
