Burgos BH presents the majority of its team: "During these days we try to have personal talks with each of the riders"

Burgos BH has marked its territory in the capital of Burgos this week, gathering its team and staff to outline the plans that will mark its route in the next cycling season.

From November 20 to 22, the Hotel Ciudad de Burgos became the epicentre of this first contact, where the cyclists and their technical team immersed themselves in a meticulous preparation process.

Physical preparation and medical examinations.

The foundation was laid at the Recoletas Hospital, where the athletes submitted their bodies to medical scrutiny, ensuring that they are in optimal condition for the next challenge. While the pedals were temporarily put aside, the focus was on physical work sessions guided by Víctor de la Calle, the team's trainer.

Conferences and outreach with sponsors.

The technical exchange was not limited to the physical field. Group technical talks nurtured strategic planning, while meetings with sponsors such as Ekoï or Victory Endurance strengthened the ties that will drive the team during the season. A welcome lunch served as a relaxed meeting between directors, prominent sponsors and important figures such as the mayoress of Burgos, Cristina Ayala, and the president of the Provincial Council, Borja Suárez.

A cultural day: Atapuerca

Beyond the asphalt, Wednesday took the cyclists to explore the Atapuerca mountain range, a fascinating archaeological site that houses ancient human remains, adding a cultural touch to the sporting agenda.

The team: Familiar faces and new horizons.

Of the team's 21 cyclists, 15 took part in this training camp. Figures such as Jesús Ezquerra, Ángel Fuentes, Rodrigo Álvarez, and other familiar faces were mixed with recent additions such as David Delgado, Sinuhé Fernández, Georgios Bouglas and Jambaljamts Sainbayar. The absence of some, such as Felipe Orts and Sebastián Mora, was justified by their commitments in other cycling modalities, promising to join the group soon.

Technical director's words.

David Cantera, technical director of the team, highlighted the importance of this concentration as the first step towards the cohesion of the group and the alignment of objectives. He emphasized the relevance of personal talks to outline the general and particular outlook of each cyclist, outlining expectations and schedules for the upcoming season:

"It is the usual concentration we do at the beginning of the season. It's a bit of cohesion of the group, getting to know the new faces of the team and giving the basic brushstrokes of the beginning of the sport course. During these days we try to have personal talks with each of the riders to explain the dynamics of the team, what will be the general and particular calendar they will have and what we expect from their work throughout the season".
