A very honest and accurate assessment. I'm a big Vingegaard fan, but I have to admit that Pogacar has the better chance this year. Last year Pogacar came into the race recovering from a minor injury, but this year Vingegaard is recovering from a hospitalization of 12 days and more significant injuries. However, during the last two tours, Pogacar has tried to scoop up time bonuses on the sprints and at the finish. He has also done so largely on his own. He needs to race smarter than that this year. Vingegaard needs to rely on his teammates even more. Van Aert and Jorgenson should help out on the flat and hilly stages, while Kuss must step up in the mountains. So it's a head vs heart race for me. May the better rider win!
