Lars van der Haar was cutting a rather forlorn figure pre-race at Superprestige Niel given the incredibly brutal conditions of the course. What happened during the race will have done little to cheer him up.

Having already crashed earlier on in the race, van der Haar was again caught up in trouble. With the GCN+ commentators mulling over whether or not he had dislocated his shoulder, the Dutch national champion casually used the frame of his bike to pop it back into his socket and continue on.
