Victor Campenaerts wins Tour of Leuven in a two-up sprint against Zdenek Stybar

The Tour of Leuven was a race suited to the classics specialists and they didn't fail to deliver, as the teams with depth thrived, with the win falling to Lotto Soudal's Victor Campenaerts for important UCI points.

The hilly race taking place in the city where the World championships took place last year opened up early, and the crucial move came in the final 25 kilometers as Zdenek Stybar attacked in the peloton, and only Victor Campenaerts had the legs to follow the move which ended up proving decisive.

The duo worked together to the finish, managing to hold the chasing group, and in the final sprint it was the Belgian who managed to take a much needed win. Stybar finished second, whilst Alexander Kristoff sprinted to third place from the chasing group.
