Surely it would also be better to plan to use more energy in the first week of the Giro, where it could be regarded as 'training', than in the last week, where tapering down with the Tour in mind would be wiser? I don't know, just wondering.06:58

And another word - clickbait. This site has gone crazy with polarising opinion pieces in the brief 'gap' before the Giro. Meanwhile, in another world, we've had amazing gravel races and the Vuelta Fememina. Oh, and both Pog and Lipo looking relaxed and happy at the end of Romandie.06-05-2026 06:55

And then Pog praised Lipowitz after the other stages in the race. Much more praising than not praising.05-05-2026 14:13

At the time there was even more talk about Kuss surely looking for a new team after that Vuelta than there was about Roglic finally realising that Visma didn't need him anymore.05-05-2026 07:31

It's an incredibly irritating formula that this writer uses in every article. Content can be created out of nothing, by imagining contrasts and comparisons.04-05-2026 07:45

More impressive was Jonas completely changing the shape of his legs with new muscle built up in training last spring. But probably other athletes who build up muscle easily could have done that, if it would benefit them.03-05-2026 08:00

Jonas was there to win, and unlike Roglic he had a realistic chance of doing it. The most amazing thing is that Visma turned this very public display of dirty laundry (and a loss of tge Tour-Vuelta double for Jonas) into a PR triumph.02-05-2026 06:41

Not sure if instigator describes it. Jonas had already attacked Kuss in two stages, and won them with ease, with emotional dedications to his team-mate and his daughter's birthday, when Roglic evidently decided it was his turn. And it would not have mattered if Jonas hadn't followed Roglic, almost wiping out Kuss's lead over him. Kuss still had a good lead over Roglic.01-05-2026 21:04

Yes, but Jonas had already done that and won a stage, so Roglic seemed to think that was unfair.01-05-2026 18:01

Tadej is probably wary of Jonas (rather than afraid), as when Jonas has beaten him he has blind-sided him. Like in the 2023 Tour, when on the final rest day only about 10 seconds separated them and they seemed good friends, and then Jonas crushed Tadej in the time trial.30-04-2026 21:25
