We have got a star-studded field for the time-trial World Championships in Zurich. The route will be 46 kilometers long and there will be plenty of quality riders to fight for the much desired rainbow jersey including defending and Olympic champion Remco Evenepoel; but plenty other specialists who are after his title.
Evenepoel comes in perhaps as the man to beat after winning many time-trials this season, including the recent Olympic Games in Paris. Wout van Aert, Tadej Pogacar and Jonas Vingegaard are the main absentees from this event, but the Belgian will find very tough competition.
From the Vuelta a España we have first and second in the final time-trial: Stefan Küng and Primoz Roglic who have shown terrific form in Spain. There, we also saw Brandon McNulty take an impressive win on the first day and it was not the American's first high-level time-trial win of the year, he can very much surprise here again as he is also a strong climber.
We have got recently crowned European Champion Edoardo Affini as a serious contender, as the Visma rider also comes in with very strong form and motivation. Lastly we have INEOS Grenadiers duo Filippo Ganna and Joshua Tarling, both having unknown form, but both being extremely dangerous for the very long and simple flat sections of the course.
