With Primoz Roglic still resting up and recovering following his crash at the Itzulia Basque Country,
BORA - hansgrohe will look towards Aleksandr Vlasov and
Jai Hindley at
Liege-Bastogne-Liege this Sunday.
For the former Giro d'Italia winner Hindley, it will be his third participation at Liege-Bastogne-Liege. "It's one of the hardest one-day races," he admits in a pre-race interview on BORA - hansgrohe's social media pages. "Probably the weather will make it even tougher than usual tomorrow. Hopefully, it stays dry but I think that's pretty optimistic.
"I'm really looking forward to racing," the 27-year-old Australian continues, reiterating his warning about the weather. "It's always a race of attrition anyway and with the potentially grim weather tomorrow it'll be even harder than it always is. It's going to be a very hard day out there."
With Hindley joined by the likes of Aleksandr Vlasov, Matteo Sobrero and Bob Jungels among others, BORA - hansgrohe have a strong team, capable of making an impact, despite the lack of Roglic and the star quality of competitors such as Mathieu van der Poel and Tadej Pogacar.
