Results Giro della Toscana 2026 - Giulio Pellizzari makes it six wins in 2026 as Red Bull star beats stacked Monte Serra selection

Giulio Pellizzari won the 2026 Giro della Toscana after attacking from a ten-rider leading group inside the final kilometre and holding off Jordan Jegat and Christian Scaroni in Pontedera.
The Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe rider opened a small gap with around 900 metres remaining after the decisive selection had formed over the second ascent of Monte Serra.
Antonio Tiberi attempted to chase Pellizzari down, but the Italian remained clear as Jegat launched the sprint behind with 400 metres to go.
Jegat took second for TotalEnergies, with Scaroni completing the podium for XDS Astana Team. Lenny Martinez finished fourth ahead of Alessandro Fancellu, Mikkel Frolich Honore, Jan Castellon, Tiberi and Michael Storer.
Ten riders emerge from Monte Serra
The early part of the race had been shaped by a five-rider break containing Oliver Bleddyn, Hugo de la Calle, Joan Bou, Davide Bais and Matteo Spreafico. That move began to split on the first ascent of Monte Serra, where Spreafico, Bleddyn and Bais were dropped before De la Calle and Bou were eventually caught with 70 kilometres remaining.
The race came back together ahead of the second passage over Monte Serra, the 8.4km climb averaging 7.1% that provided the main selection point of the day.
Martinez accelerated with 32 kilometres remaining before the front of the race repeatedly split and regrouped. Honore went clear briefly, while Storer attacked from behind and made his way across. Scaroni also accelerated, with Tiberi and Pellizzari among the riders reacting.
By 20 kilometres to go, ten riders had formed at the head of the race: Pellizzari, Scaroni, Martinez, Tiberi, Honore, Castellon, Fancellu, Jegat, Storer and Jorge Gutierrez.
Pellizzari strikes inside final kilometre
The leading group held 15 seconds over the peloton with 20 kilometres remaining. Although that gap later began to fall, the ten riders continued working together and still had 20 seconds in hand inside the final five kilometres. Jan Christen attacked from the peloton with 4.7 kilometres remaining, but the victory remained with the group ahead.
With the peloton closing again inside three kilometres, Pellizzari made the decisive move just before the flamme rouge. He carried a small advantage into the final kilometre as Tiberi gave chase.
Jegat then opened the sprint behind with 400 metres remaining, but Pellizzari had already done enough to stay clear and seal victory in the 98th edition of the Giro della Toscana.
