Alguna vez alguien me dijo: Roma no se construyó en un solo día. Y después de mucha paciencia, no puedo esperar para volver a Competir 👊🏽
Egan Bernal is focused on a return to the peloton and has shared some of the training rides that he has been recently doing in an effort to regain the form he's lost earlier in the year.
Earlier this month Bernal joined several teammates in an altitude camp in Andorra where he is still currently building his form. He's shared on social media the quote: "One time someone told me: Rome wasn't build in a day. And after much patience, I can't wait to be back competing."
Alongside it, the Colombian shared data from a ride he did on the 19th of July - one of three rides he's shared on Strava since the beginning of the training camp. Almost six hours on the bike, 149 kilometers and 4000 meters of climbing at an average speed of 25.6Km/h and over 4000 calories burnt. It is possible to see through his power data summary that he's back to doing somewhat structured training, however having the volume and climbing skills develop seems to be the priority for now.
In a recent interview Bernal admitted that he's eyeing a return to the peloton this year, possibly for the Italian Autumn classics where he has in the past been successful.
