- Actually I believe that the last time 'ċ' (the closest thing to č) was used in the British Isles was in Scottish Gaelic (it was Irish then). It represented the 'ch' sound, which makes the 'kh' sound, similar to Arabic خ.
But Scottish Gaelic is about as closely related to English as Russian is, so that's not too significant.
- you're so wrong. First of all, Naesen asked Van der Poel to not attack. Then vdP gave information, willingly. If Naesen shares that information, then vdP will never tell him anything again in the future. If a friend tells you something in confidence, you keep the secret, that's an ethic which should be kept not only in cycling, but life in general. Naesen can still use the information to his own advantage. And also in the future, if vdP shares with him and vice versa. Finally, if you're known as a rat, it's just not something that is respected, not just in the peloton.
- in general i agree. however, i doubt that he will be able to close the gaps (explosivity, etc.) in the very near future. he might, however, be able to come close to vingegaard next year, provided he improves further.
- Van Aert's best days are behind him. He can still manage Top 10 but winning a race is almost impossible at this stage in his career. Luck has also abandoned him lately.
- What are these people smoking??
- If was a privileged information that I didn't even share with my team so I'm sharing it publicly
- This is why I love cycling. There is so much strategy involved that makes it fun to watch. MvDP made sure Van Aert, the only person capable on winning the race ahead of the sprint was totally spent before the line and had no change to attack to the finish line.
- I think he done the wrong thing, he was thinking only of himself and acted with sheep mentality
- Stop being a fool, we're talking about Catalunya 2026 and this years races... not about what hapenned last year or three years ago. Capish?
- In english it can be Pogachar. "Č" in slovenian is the same as "CH" (like Churchill or chicken) in english.
