TotalEnergies secures Alexis Vuillermoz for two more years: "This is the best recipe for me to perform"

Alexis Vuillermoz has signed a two-year contract extension with team TotalEnergies. He will now stay with the team till 2024.

“I am very happy to continue the adventure with TotalEnergies. Everything has been going well since I joined the team. It was, therefore, a wish and an evidence to stay there,” said Vuillermoz.

He continues, “The primary objective will be to run offensively in the image of the team and to go for great victories. It was important for me to re-sign. I feel good here. It is the structure best suited to me both in terms of material and managerial aspects but also for the atmosphere that reigns there. This is the best recipe for me to perform.”

He was the victim of a heat stroke in the 9th stage of the tour and was taken to the hospital via ambulance, forcing him to abandon the tour. Although he has not fully recovered, he is making significant progress. "It's starting to get better. Healing is faster than expected. I've been trail running for a few days, and I'll be back on the bike for training in the next few days. I hope to be able to hang up a bib at the end of August,” concluded Vuillermoz.
