  Agreed. And even the TT was not a huge concern in that a long, flat run is not his thing. If the TDF has released its route I haven't seen it, but I do not recall one quite like it at that race in some time. If it is a short one, or uphill, or both, should not be a problem.

  In a sense, yes, the Tour always holds rank over the other GT's. However, historically the Giro has harder climbs than the Tour. This Giro was not as hard as previous years, but the Tour this year is also not as hard. In the 2026 Tour they only break 2000 meters twice before finishing the second day (they finish there on Stage 19 and 20 ) on Alpe D'huez. I think that Jonas has his best chance this year, and maybe his last chance to win a Tour before father time catches up. I'm interested in watching Tadej at the Tour de Suisse in a few weeks and seeing where his form is as well.

  Jonas, you are one of the few cyclists who truly moves me. Your open display of emotion and gratitude, not only to your team, but your wife and children, is deeply touching, and consistently brings tears to my eyes. His performance was a masterclass in tactical intelligence and heart. Achieving the ‘Triple Crown’ of Grand Tours is a monumental feat, and whatever the future holds, he will have already cemented his legacy as one of the true greats of cycling. This could not have gone to a more deserving rider. I genuinely could not be happier for him.

  This always brings tears to my eyes. Jonas adores his family, and he doesn’t just pay lip service to their support, he genuinely lives it. For someone who has conquered the rare heights of multiple Grand Tour victories, a feat achieved by only eight in men’s cycling history, he consistently shows the world that his success is not only rooted in his team, but also his partner and children. While some criticize his open display of emotion, I have nothing but profound respect for it. He is a truly humble, kind, and beautiful human being. Could not be happier for him. Chapeau Jonas, truly, truly remarkable.

  Following that logic Pogacar wasn’t a true winner in 2024 because the rider level and the route were also very tame in 2024. I think that both Pogacar and Vingegaard are true winners and can be very proud of their victories in the Giro.
