With two stages to go at

Jonas Vingegaard win with the Team Visma | Lease a Bike leader topping the general classification by 55 seconds from
Juan Ayuso.
On Friday's stage 5, the Dane took firm control of the race with a brutal solo attack that gave him the stage win by a comfortable 1:12 margin. With a summit finish to come later today atop Monte Petrano, it's possible Vingegaard could go on the attack again to further strengthen his position. "We just have to see how the race goes," the two-time, back-to-back Tour de France winner analyses.
"You can only do your best and then you will see by the end of the day," he concludes. "If the chance is there, it's always nice to win. But we'll see how the race unfolds and decide later on if we go for it or not."
