Dutchman
Wilco Kelderman is said to be heading to the team that has seen him turn a pro, as a move from
BORA - hansgrohe to
Jumbo-Visma is imminent.
The report comes from Wielerflits who claim several sources have confirmed the transfer is decided, with the announcement to come soon. It's said to be a three-year contract until 2025, with Kelderman having a mixed role of leadership and also some opportunities to lead the Dutch team, as is his current role in the German team.
Having turned pro in 2012 already coming from the Dutch team's development ranks, Kelderman was a part of the team until 2016 where he grew into a top stage-racer aswell as quality rider in the hilly days. All his career wins were there, having became time-trial national champion in the way.
Although not having many wins to his name, the 31-year old has become a consistent name in the mountainous races, with a lot of crashes and bad luck putting a bad touch to his career. Having finished in the Top5 of all Grand Tours in the last few years however, Kelderman has reached his expected level.
This transfer comes after the confirmation that Dylan van Baarle will also be joining the team, further increasing the team's capacity in different terrains.
