Stage 3 of
La Vuelta Femenina ended with a bunch sprint won by Team SD Worx - ProTime's Femke Gerritse however it was a day full of crashes. One however, that is likely the most bizarre out of them all, was not caught by TV broadcast but was by spectators whilst in the stage's neutralized start.
A spectator-filmed clip has begun circulating on social media showing the moment in which, before the official start of the stage, a spectator stumbled and hit a rider in the peloton. Although this happened at slow speed, it still caused a crash and a pile-up in the peloton. You can check the unusual incident below:
It's pretty obvious they didn't notice the step and stumbled down. It's clear because there are other spectators sitting on the step and the stumbler was looking at the peloton and not where they were stepping.
