The Tour de France has ended this Sunday with a massive spectacle in the city of Nice and with the race finished, all the teams have now understood how many UCI points they have won throughout the three weeks. Without surprise, UAE Team Emirates has surpassed all other teams with a strong collective performance headlined by the race winner Tadej Pogacar.
As analyzed by Raúl Banqueri, it is possible to see that UAE scored 5650 points throughout the three weeks, and although they have scored massively in the overall classification - with Pogacar, João Almeida and Adam Yates coming within the first - they have actually won more points throughout the stages. Pogacar's six wins had a great influence in this result without a single doubt.
Team Visma | Lease a Bike were second, also scoring more in the stages than in the overall classification with Jonas Vingegaard, Matteo Jorgenson and Wout van Aert bringing in a large amount of points for the team. Soudal - Quick-Step followed in third place putting on another 2945 points to their tally - almost double of the next team. Remco Evenepoel had a great deal of success in the race and with Mikel Landa's Top5 result as well the team has managed to finish quite above most of their rivals.
Intermarché-Wanty have won three stages and saw Biniam Girmay lead the points classification throughout most of the race which has seen them catapult to fourth place with 1490 points. All the gaps following are very small. Israel - Premier Tech, Alpecin-Deceuninck, INEOS Grenadiers and EF Education follow.
At the bottom of the ranking is Groupama - FDJ who have failed to have a meaningful result in the overall classification and stages as well. Astana Qazaqstan Team, despite their glorious victory with Mark Cavendish, were just barely ahead of it, with 425 points scored, which sees the Kazakh team sink even deeper in the UCI Rankings and it's chances of remaining at World Tour level.
