For Bernaudeau, the announcement signals the start of the search for a new title sponsor for 2027, which is expected to be far from an easy task. "Naturally, I am already looking ahead to 2027 and I am determined to keep the Team going. Our singularity, our values, our policy of education and training, and our sports development pathway are serious assets in persuading brands to embark on this adventure with us. I am sure that business leaders will identify with our longstanding values and our Team’s cycling performance.”
From
TotalEnergies’ perspective, the partnership was also a success, and the decision aligns with the company’s broader sponsorship strategy. Bertrand Blaise, Vice President of Communications at TotalEnergies, said:
“We are grateful for all the excitement and thrills and the many wins we have experienced during ten years partnering
Jean-René Bernaudeau’s Team… to say nothing of those to come next season, that we are looking forward to sharing with the devoted fans who follow us! Our sponsorship strategy is moving forward with the Tour de France partnership announced in June, that will strengthen our ties to the twelve million supporters lining the routes of this legendary race every year.”
The timing of the departure comes as no surprise, given that
TotalEnergies has strengthened its relationship with the British INEOS Grenadiers team. Since June 2025, the company’s logo has appeared on the INEOS jersey during the Tour de France, despite UCI rules prohibiting dual title sponsorship in the same race. TotalEnergies will also continue as the official energy partner of the Tour de France and Tour de France Femmes through 2028.
