Pogacar will start off his season at
Strade Bianche, and will then race
Milano-Sanremo and the Volta a Catalunya. Pogacar will then take a break from racing, skipping both cobbled and Ardennes classics. This time will be used to prepare for the Giro d'Italia with training (and an altitude camp) and according to the plan, should have no racing - although Liège-Bastogne-Liège is very much a possibility on the menu.
He will race the Giro, then rest and train ahead of the Tour with no race days inbetween. After the Tour de France Pogacar will aim for the
Olympic Games in Paris. Perhaps some races may be added in the meantime, but UAE Team Emirates share that the superstar will race the Canadian classics before travelling to Switzerland for the Zürich
World Championships.
