Jumbo-Visma are having their main classics block race together at
Tirreno-Adriatico where
Wout van Aert will make his season debut. However a last-minute change sees
Primoz Roglic surprisingly back to competition.
After sustaining injuries at the Vuelta a Espana last summer and then undergoing a shoulder operation, the Slovenian stayed three months off the bike and only began his training for 2023 in December. His only scheduled race was the Volta a Catalunya where he is to meet Remco Evenepoel, but he has decided to kick off his competitive stint earlier.

Roglic will be a GC contender then, having in the past shown great form even without racing. He will have
Wilco Kelderman and
Attila Valter who realistically will also be riders capable of fighting for the overall classifification, as is
Koen Bouwman on paper.
The race also sees a massive focus on preparing for the classics, with Omloop Het Nieuwsblad and Kuurne - Bruxelles - Kuurne winners
Dylan van Baarle and
Tiesj Benoot at the start line, and with Wout van Aert finally beginning his season after opting out of Strade Bianche.
