Earlier this week rumours of Primoz Roglic possibly changing outfits at the end of the year emerged, with claims that INEOS Grenadiers would have been interested in signing the Slovenian stage-racer. Both parties have denied the rumours.
Velonews was in touch with directors of both INEOS Grenadiers and Jumbo-Visma following the rumours, however both categorically denied that there are talks and a possible transfer in the making. Following the dominating performance of Jonas Vingegaard at the Tour de France, some have speculated that Roglic's role in the team may become inferior - with the possible absence from the Vuelta a Espana being another complication for the 32-year old.
Roglic currently has a contract with the Dutch team until 2025 and is expected to stay with the team for the whole extent, as it brings in and develops further stage-racing talents such as Thymen Arensman and Attila Valter for example who are said to have struck a deal for the coming seasons - besides leading the team in many races as he has this year.
Roglic abandoned the Tour de France with two broken vertebrae, which he withstood to race for over a week. He had dislocated his shoulder in the crash on stage five aswell, however nevertheless played a key role for Jumbo-Visma's win at the Tour.
