Primoz Roglic is undergoing changes within
Jumbo-Visma, and the 32-year old is said to have the interest of a rival team in
INEOS Grenadiers. With a long-term contract, it would be difficult to see a change, however it is a slim possibility.
Although the rumours have a complication, being that Roglic holds a contract until 2025, it has been reported by Wielerflits that the British team has expressed interest in the Slovenian, although it is naturally vague what that interest could lead to - if anything.
Roglic was forced to abandon the Tour de France after sustaining a dislocated shoulder and two broken vertebrae during his crash on stage five. Over the last years the Slovenian had proved to be one of the biggest rivals, and the meteoric rise of Jonas Vingegaard within the team will certainly have Roglic in an inferior role to that he had before the Tour.
He had scheduled to race the
Vuelta a Espana later this year in an attempt to take a fourth consecutive win, however his back injuries still bring uncertainty over his participation in the race.
