"This is a unique opportunity for the team," said
FDJ-Suez general manager Stephen Delcourt. "Working with such an iconic
brand will only strengthen our identity. We are looking forward to a long-term
partnership where we can complement each other both on and off the bike."
Vollering, who
has come under fire in recent days for some of her performances in 2024, has a personal sponsorship deal with Nike, and expressed her excitement on social media: "I am so happy that it is
finally official. Nike, my personal partner, will also be working with my new
team FDJ-Suez. This is an incredible milestone in my career and a great moment
for women's cycling. It is fantastic to see how together we can make more
impact, by raising the bar in the cycling world. I want to thank everyone who
made this possible."
She also expressed gratitude towards those who supported her
journey: "First and foremost, I have to thank my friend Jan for always
thinking ahead and supporting me every step of the way. I also want to thank
FDJ-Suez for their will to grow, innovate and approach things differently. I
also want to thank Nike for believing in me and their will to improve women's
cycling and sports. The fact that you are now also going to support the team,
feels even more special."
