The Tour de France is drawing near and with this, cycling's appeal in the overall picture of sports is growing and preparing itself for the highlight of the year. More and more in recent years the sport has been connecting itself with some of the very biggest brands including clothing... And only days after Team Visma | Lease a Bike announced Nike as a clothing sponsor,
INEOS Grenadiers now reveals it's working with Adidas.
“We are incredibly proud to be announcing this multi-year partnership with one of the world’s most iconic sports brands," team CEO John Allert said in a
press release shared by the team this morning. The team recently also announced TotalEnergies as a sponsor, but the French oil giant could become a title sponsor in the future as the team seeks to improve it's budget.
"Adidas has a long-standing and successful history of supporting cycling both in the UK and globally, and we are all excited for what we can achieve together over the coming years.
The partnership will come also in the form of being an off-bike clothing and footwear provider for the team, and from 2026 onwards (this is a multi-year deal) the team will have it's own off-bike range introduced, not being limited to just a few items. With big names such as Adidas, Nike and Red Bull becoming sponsors for cycling teams in the space of just 12 months, there are positive signs in the sport that there is an openness to invest more money and above all that the consequences are also positive.
“Adidas' drive for excellence, innovation and performance-focused design will support everyone in the team, from the athletes to the mechanics, to do their job in comfort and style in every environment and climate. This is another big step forward for the team as we build towards more success on the road in 2026 and beyond.”
