Enric Mas faces the 2025 season with great enthusiasm. The Movistar Team leader has been reborn after finishing third in the last Vuelta a España, showing that he has the legs to fight with men like Primoz Roglic.

Speaking to Marca, the Mallorcan spoke about his renewal, which he hopes will take place in the coming months, as his contract expires at the end of the 2025 season:"For now it's all up in the air. Nothing is clear. Well, nothing clear, nothing is signed. Hopefully before December 31, 2025, we will have reached an agreement with Eusebio Unzué."

Once again Mas will aim for the Tour de France and Vuelta a España this upcoming summer, having understood that he always reaches the Vuelta with his best form after his schedule and that these are his favourite races.

"It's my last year of my contract and I can't rule out the Vuelta. And the Tour it's true that in recent years I haven't been great at it, but I think I have to come back to enjoy the race and to try to be in the top three".

His wish for Alejandro Valverde: he wants him to be a coach and continue with them in the team:

"I would like him to stay here and that he can also be a coach, that he can do things. I don't know if it's possible because maybe from the outside it's not well seen, but I want him to find a path where Alejandro can continue with us. I'm excited to see the 'Bullet' leading the national team".

His end of the season was once again very good, something very common for him, who usually starts weak and ends up on top. This is how he speaks of his performance: "We finished well and we have to take advantage of that moment. From July to October is when I perform best. It is true that, lately, the beginning of the season has not been as I expected, but I can also improve in that facet. And even at the end of the season, when I usually feel good, I can still improve. We are going to work to try to achieve it".

We had previously reported on his calendar choices for next year, but through his own words the 29-year old himself: "I'll start in Andalusia, then the French classics, then Volta a Catalunya, Itzulia, maybe Flèche Wallonne and Liège, Tour and Vuelta".
