In a
Tour de France of brilliantly entertaining stages, arguably none have been more enthralling than the action seen on stage 14. At the end of it all, we have a new rider on the third step of the podium.
Despite the drama of the day with each rider making multiple attacks, only second was the difference in the gap between
Jonas Vingegaard and
Tadej Pogacar at the top of the standings. Importantly for Vingegaard, that second came in his favour, extending his lead to 10 seconds.
Carlos Rodriguez took a breakthrough stage win and in the process now sits third in the general classification, by just a single second ahead of
Jai Hindley with
Adam Yates just 37 seconds behind in 5th.
Sepp Kuss is up to 6th with
Simon Yates,
Pello Bilbao,
Felix Gall and
David Gaudu rounding out the top 10 of the standings after a frantic day.
