A few weeks ago, the
E3 Saxo Classic organization traditionally presented a striking, but this time also very controversial poster. After the storm of criticism, the poster was taken offline and the E3 Saxo Classic showed the new cartoon on Monday.
"Who has the good legs?" is the slogan of the spring classic on X. On the banner itself you can clearly see shaved legs, but E3 keeps it a mystery whether they are women's or men's legs.

in prizes! "Wout Van Aert crosses the line bareback!" was the initial slogan of the E3 Saxo Classic a few weeks ago, which immediately set the tone with a spelling error. "LGBTQ community very enthusiastic... About Van der Poel's rainbow jersey of course," the cartoon continued. On his way to winning the cyclocross in Benidorm, Spain, Van Aert lost his saddle after making a mistake. Van der Poel did not win for the first time this season after a heavy fall.
The cartoon obviously caused bad blood among the LGBTQ+ community and also among cycling analysts. "What a sad level," Thijs Zonneveld then posted a few hours later. After the many negative reactions, the organization took the cartoon offline again. In addition, an apology was sent through X.
The " LGBTQ+ community" - yeah - like that exists as some unified block of people. They can't even agree how their alphabet letters, lol.
As with some other groups, the most extreme or frustrated member seems to be leftin charge to voicing their opinion « in the name » of the group. It also seems as if this is the only person voicing an opinion, perhaps because they have access to a budget or/and the media (who no longer seem very interested in searching for a variety of people to give opinions, they know they always count on one person to stir up controversy and that seems to suit them just fine).
