Following the completion of the registration period for UCI licenses, it has now been confirmed that Lotto Soudal and Israel - Premier Tech have been relegated from World Tour level. Meanwhile, in the women's peloton, Fenix-Deceuninck have been confirmed as the 15th World Tour team.
With Israel - Premier Tech and Lotto Soudal failing to gather enough points to secure their status at the top tier of cycling, they will be replaced in 2023 by Alpecin Deceuninck and Arkea Samsic. Jerome Pineau's B&B Hotels-KTM are notable by their absence, having been refused registration as his been reported over the last few weeks.
After rising from nine teams to fourteen in 2021, the Women's World Tour will expand once again in the coming season with Fenix-Deceuninck beating out competition from the likes AG Insurance-NXTG and Ceratizit-WNT for the 15th and final spot in the peloton.
