The third stage of the Tour de France 2022 was won by Dylan Groenewegen. The Dutchman of BikeExchange-Jayco was after a flat stage of 182 kilometers the fastest in the bunch sprint in Sønderborg.
It was a calm day in the peloton as only Magnus Cort Nielsen (EF Education-EasyPost) went up the road, a lone escapee and a peloton that could ride calmly. This meant however that the finale would be furious, with all teams fresh and fighting for positioning in the final kilometers. Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl Team entered the final straight in front however Fabio Jakobsen lost the wheel in the corner, however the Belgian team's riders did the leadout.
