Stage 6 of the 2023
Vuelta a Espana has a challenging finale atop the Pico del Buitre. Jumbo-Vimsa though enter it full of confidence, despite the fact it's
Soudal - Quick-Step's
Remco Evenepoel who holds the Red Jersey.
“The goal for the fifth stage was to get to the finish unscathed. We succeeded," recaps Jumbo-Vimsa's sports director
Grischa Niermann in a post-stage interview with his team's official website. "We got through the day just fine. Wilco felt fine after yesterday's crash. That is a nice boost.”
Ahead of stage 6 however, Niermann realises the day will be more of a challenge for the general classification teams and whilst it's unlikely to be a truly decisive day in terms of the overall race, time gaps could very well emerge among the leaders.
