Tadej Pogacar and Anna Kiesenhofer on start of European Climbing Time Trial Championship next week

In just a week, Tadej Pogacar will participate in the 'European Grimpeurs' in Switzerland. This European Championship mountain time trial is on the program for the very first time on Sunday July 30. The St. Gotthard Pass is the setting for the battle for the brand new title.

The European Championship Grimpeurs is an open competition: everyone can register for it. There are different categories, in which a distinction is also made between licensees (professionals) and non-licensees (amateurs).

The riders will start from Tremola and finish on top of the St. Gotthard Pass. On the course of 12,5 kilometers they'll climb over 900 altitude meters on average gradients of 7%.

While Pogacar is the big eye-catcher with the elite men, Olympic Champion Anna Kiesenhofer will start with the elite women. The rest of the startlist is not yet known.
