Stage 20 of the
Tour de France sees the riders in the Vosges and the technical descents have taken a hit early on. Carlos Rodríguez and
Sepp Kuss have hit the deck on the first descent of the day and both ended up quite bloodied.
In a steep left-hander, as the peloton was riding high-speed down the Balon d'Alsace, Rodríguez hit the deck and Sepp Kuss couldn't avoid him. Fourth and ninth in the overall classification at the start of the final mountain stage, it can lead to changes at the end of the day. Rodríguez has suffered similar injuries last year late in the Vuelta a Espana, both riders having wounds in the left side of the face and lots of road rash.
