Stage 6 of the UAE Tour was won by Isaac del Toro, who has given UAE Team Emirates - XRG another victory in 2026 and provisionally confirmed the overall classification. His attacks on Jebel Hafeet were enough to distance Antonio Tiberi, who completely cracked in the final kilometers.
The final mountain stage of the race was pan-flat until the final 10-kilometer ascent to Jebel Hafeet, and so a strong group was formed early on, with quality rouleurs and figures who would be able to sustain it. Joshua Tarling, Peter Oxenberg, Stefan Bissegger, Mark Stewart, Johan Jacobs, Axel Huens and Mattia Gaffuri were in the head of the race and held around 2 minutes going into the final climb.
Several teams paced hard behind and there was a leadout into the final climb then. Tarling and Oxenberg rode to the front then whilst behind UAE and Decathlon pushed the pace early on to thin down the peloton. The French team's pace split the group to only a few men in front, but no-one gave continuation to it and a small group with Remco Evenepoel joined from behind. Evenepoel briefly made a move; whilst Gall and Harold Tejada then attacked and got some gap.
Adam Yates paced behind and with 4 kilometers to go Isaac del Toro attacked, reeling in the final escapees, Gall and having only Antonio Tiberi follow him. The minute-long acceleration saw the Italian seemingly respond very strongly and convincingly. Luke Plapp then joined the duo from behind, but ith 2.7 kilometers to go Del Toro accelerated again and here Tiberi was not able to follow. The race leader completely exploded then, whilst Del Toro rode to the stage victory. Del Toro maintained a strong pace all the way to the summit of the climb and took the stage win; conquering also the overall classification provisionally. Plapp was second, Felix Gall was third, and Tiberi struggled through the finish line to finish fourth.
