On the 19th of March the Belgian classics restart, now with the Nokere Koerse. This is a race with a lot of history and one that serves well as preparation for the monuments; with it's many cobbled sectors and small hills making explosive racing always a certainty. We take a look at it's profile.
The race is one fit for the classics specialists. There will be 100 kilometers of racing on rolling roads with several small ascents and six cobbled sectors before entering the final circuit, which consists of three laps around Nokere.
This circuit features no less than five cobbled sectors and a few small ascents. They are all in close proximity with each other, and also in close proximity to the finish - the last one comes with only 3 kilometers to go. Even if the differences aren't made there, the finale in Nokere is uphill and is a fitting finish to a sharp race.
