The final stage of Gran Camiño was cut short due to the very bad weather in the region of Galicia. The riders ended the stage on the first passage of Monte Aloia, but despite reducing the difficulty of the stage race leader Jonas Vingegaard gave no chance to his rivals once again and won the final stage.
Vingegaard seals the deal on the yellow jersey and confirms the same feat as last year, winning three stages and the overall classification. The Danish climber has shown aggressive spirit this week in what was his season debut, and the final stage of the race was no exception.
The day's breakaway was only caught within the final kilometers of the final ascent, and Vingegaard once again printed his stamp of dominance in the race. He won stage 4 with 15 seconds advantage of an impressive Lenny Martínez who came second; whilst the rest of the competition came home close to a minute behind. Hugh Carthy finished the stage in third place, followed by Egan Bernal, Jefferson Alveiro Cepeda and Cian Uijtdebroeks.
