Lance Armstrong confessed in his first appearance on his YouTube channel The Move during the Vuelta a España that he had not been able to follow it as much as he would have liked during the first week due to his obligations as a father, but that he had read a lot and that it was obviously very hot:

"Every day there's something, there's a drama, there's a change of leader, there's a controversy, there's a weather event, neutralized stages, crashes." On the circumstances that are causing La Vuelta to cause so much controversy, Bryneel hinted that although it is owned by ASO, it is still organized by Unipublic (thus throwing a dart at Javier Guillén and making it clear that the Spanish round is not on a par with the Tour de France). Of course, he then stated that they had been "unlucky with the weather".

SEPP KUSS.

George Hincapie, a regular collaborator of Lance Armstrong, could not understand how Soudal Quick-Step could have let 40 riders get away, including several Jumbo riders, giving Sepp Kuss an advantage over the rest in the classification.

"It's a good time," commented Lance Armstrong on Kuss' more than 2-minute lead over Evenepoel and the rest of the favourites.

"We might think he's going to lose two minutes or two and a half minutes, although we've never seen him go full throttle in a flat time trial," Bruyneel said of Kuss' possible performance. "I think he's going to lose the time, but he's going to stay up and he's shown he's in better shape than he was in the Giro and the Tour, that's meant that so far neither Roglic nor Vingegaard have had to attack and they've passed the toast to Remco Evenepoel and the UAE and Movistar guys. I think only a great Remco can beat Jumbo in this Vuelta, I don't think Mas and Ayuso can".

Lance Armstrong confessed to being more than impressed with Kuss' performance: "It's incredible to be in this position doing three grand tours, I never wanted to do 2 in the same year, I only did 2 once because they gave me a lot of money to ride in Italy, but I was zero interested in doing more than one, I remember us talking about if I was going to do them all and we said it was 'incredible', it's amazing what he's doing."

Amstrong is cool. He doped when everyone doped, he just doped better. He confessed, he apologized, it's over. More power to him.

He confessed when all the evidence came out and showed he was a doper otherwise he'd still be denying out. Quit making him out to be a hero!

The major difference between Lance and anyone else who doped at that time (no, not everyone doped) is that only Lance was known for being an arrogant twit without conscience as he destroyed the careers of those who questioned him or financially damaged others. Here is a non-inclusive list of those who suffered financially or career-wise from Lance's hostility: Emma O'Reilly -- was sued for 1 million Euros in libel case; called an alcoholic and prostitute Frankie Andreu -- quit early because he didn't want to dope Betsy Andreu -- public humilation, called a frustrated vindictive shrew Both Andreu's -- target of Lance for 8 years Greg Lemond -- Trek line of bikes terminated as Lance forced Trek to chose (I saw one estimate of $30-35 million total value) Greg Walsh -- Libel cased resulting from "LA confidential". Walsh forbidden to sell book in English (only appears in French) Mike Anderson -- Bike mechanic with morals was wrongly terminated. E-mail agreement that Lance would help setup a bike shop (like he did for "Motoman"). No way to continue professional life in Austin, TX as reputation was ruined. New Zealand needed bike mechanics and gave him a green card. Christophe Bassons -- "Mr. Clean" from 1998 Festina scandal, ostracized from peloton for exercising "freedom of speech" in a blog. New team didn't share winnings, forcing Bassons to quit early. Paul Kimmage? -- arrogant verbal smackdown in 2010, tour of LA interview. Alberto Contador? -- tension on team, but Alberto was too strong. Simeoni -- Testified against Ferrarri in Italian court. Chased down by Lance and forced to re-join peloton. Lost a potential stage victory. Threatened with a "zip lip" gesture recorded for the world.b
