One of the big-4 of Grand Tour riders in the modern peloton, Primoz Roglic has had a career most riders could only dream of. In 2024, Roglic embarked on a first season with the Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe team and alongside adding notable victories such as the Criterium du Dauphine and Vuelta a Espana to his palmares, it seems the Slovenian has made a big impact on his teammates.

“He’s a good dude. He is some bike rider. He’s got a hell of a palmares and an incredible work ethic," a smiling Jai Hindley, himself a former Grand Tour winner, says glowingly of Roglic in quotes collected by Velo, with the Aussie also noting his teammate's personality away from the bike. “Yeah, he’s good. He’s pretty funny also. I get on pretty well with him.”

Hindley isn't the only Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe rider impressed by Roglic since his arrival. Team stalwart Ryan Mullen can give a very positive reflection of the Slovenian's first year at the team. “He is a really, really nice guy. Super down to earth, and just a really sound human being,” says the Irishman. “You get these superstars of the sport and you think they are quite robotic and systematic, but you can crack a joke with him, have a laugh. He’s a really, really down-to-earth good guy.”

For 2025, Roglic is reunited with Jan Tratnik, who has followed in his compatriot's footsteps by making the switch from Team Visma | Lease a Bike to Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe. “Maybe he seems a little bit not shy, but also a little bit that he don’t speak a lot. But for me, what I see in Primoz is of course a really hard worker, really try to push the limits in cycling. And out of cycling he really cares about people," Tratnik adds. "Maybe this he doesn’t show, maybe in cycling, it looks like that he just want to win everything and ride just for himself. That’s also normal, because he is one of the best riders on the world. But out of cycling, he really takes care about other people, helping them. It’s how friends should be.”

“He’s a good leader, for sure,” Hindley agrees. “The impact that he’s had on the team has been for the better, to really raise the game and to bring everyone up. Everyone is also super motivated to succeed, or to help the rest of the team succeed. I think the impact of him has been really massive.”
